Liverpool cruise past PSV

Liverpool have crushed PSV Eindhoven 3-0 in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter final today.

Skipper Steven Gerrard scored the first in the 27th minute after he headed in a great Steve Finnan cross and the 2004-05 Champions doubled their advantage with a John-Arne Riise thunderbolt shot in the 49th minute.

In form striker Peter Crouch scored the third fifteen minutes later to complete a dominant Liverpool performance.
