Kluivert shrugs off rumoursNewcastle striker Patrick Kluivert has shrugged off speculation claiming he has retired from international football indicating that while he does not hold out much chance of securing a place in the side anytime soon he has not hung up his boots.
"They put words in my mouth,” Kluivert told De Telegraaf.
''I only told them that I was disappointed in the words of the coach that I am last in the line of strikers for Oranje.
"I can now concentrate fully on my club and will try to force a selection for Oranje by playing well and will decide on my future only when I am selected."
