JJ praises team-mateTottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas thinks team-mate Paul Robinson was unfairly targeted after England’s loss in Croatia and praised his ability to perform following the incident.
Jenas said: "The incident that happened in Croatia wasn't even Robbo's fault. It was a blatant bobble and he has come in for unfair criticism.
"But Robbo is a strong character and he will keep turning out good performances for Tottenham. He has got a lot of resilience as well.
"He has been fine and upbeat since what happened. I think he has shown everyone how strong he really is and that was the most important thing for us as a team.
"He is still the number one and he produced a great save towards the end at Villa to earn us a point."
Jenas, who was speaking after the 1-1 away draw with Aston Villa, added: "We are turning the corner. We've had some good results although there was a little bit of a feeling of disappointment on Saturday because we could have got a bit more out of the game - but we've done well.
"There was possibly a bit of a hangover over missing out on the Champions League and there have been a few new faces in as well and some players leaving.
"But things are coming together. We are playing a lot of games at the moment with Europe as well and the more you play with each other the more you get to know each other's games and we are developing.
"We feel we are in a false position. We are a footballing side and, especially in the first half at Villa, we passed it around well and got ourselves into good positions.
"We will slowly climb the table. Going to Villa is not easy. Not many teams will come to Villa and get a good result."
