Hislop welcomes new appointmentThe appointment of Leo Beenhakker as Trinidad & Tobago's new head coach has been welcomed by Portsmouth keeper Shaka Hislop.
The Dutchman has succeeded Bertille St Clair in charge of the country and although Trinidad prop up the North American and Caribbean section of World Cup qualifying, Hislop does not believe all hope is lost.
Hislop explained to TTFF Media: "It's a fantastic appointment,
"His resume speaks for itself and he brings the quality that we are looking for from a coach.
"I don't think it has come too late because there is still a lot of hope. Despite the results so far, we can still take a lot from recent games."
