Hargreaves set for United moveBayern Munich midfielder Owen Hargreaves is set to complete his long awaited move to Manchester United this summer after the German club admitted they were looking to release the player.
Bayern director Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: "A player like Owen Hargreaves would have looked good in our team next year.
"In the defensive midfield position Owen is one of the best in the world - it's a big sporting loss for us."
Club President Franz Beckenbauer added: "Owen Hargreaves will go,"
"It's also the wish of the player.
"Everything is right and it is also financially right."
Bayern are set to net £17million for the England international.
