Hammers capture Spanish star

West Ham has captured the services of Deportivo La Coruna midfielder Lionel Scaloni on loan for the rest of the season.

The 27-year-old has failed to hold down a first-team place this season under coach Joaquin Caparros.

Scaloni's agent said: "He was very happy and was well treated but his face didn't fit with Caparros.

"Everything is arranged with West Ham. It wasn't such a pleasant surprise but soccer is like that.
