Gareth eyeing strong finishAston Villa defender Gareth Barry is looking for the team to finish the season strong, following their recent slump in form.
The Villains skipper said: "The majority of the players have played most of the games and the break in Spain will do them good, refresh the batteries and let them come out firing again.
"There will also be plenty of time to have a few discussions about what has gone on and where we want to be heading. I'm sure the manager will want to work on a few things."
He added: "There are 11 games left and a lot can still happen. We want at least to finish the season on a high and hopefully get the fans in for the last four or five home games, and show them what's going to come next season. That's the aim.
"They don't just want the season to drift to a finish. We've had a couple of wins recently and also played well in games where the results didn't go our way.
"The bringing in of John Carew, Ashley Young and Shaun Maloney was also a real sign of intent by the club and the manager - particularly in January when good players are always normally hard to come by and, if available, at inflated prices.
"They have helped to create a buzz around the place and are top quality additions to the squad."
