Fulham star apologisesZat Knight has apologised to Fulham following a recent indiscretion which saw him axed from the team.
Knight was dropped against Manchester United for breaking a club curfew but is likely to be recalled to the side for Monday's game against Charlton Athletic.
The England international is hopeful he can overcome his recent lapse and has said sorry for transgressing the boundaries.
He said: "I've apologised to the management, the directors and the players,
"The players know that I was very upset by the situation, especially the punishment. Obviously, I deserved to get punished and it was very hurtful to miss a big game like Manchester United.
"I've been working hard over the last two weeks to show the manager, the players and the fans, who I also need to apologise to, that I want to be part of the team.
"You have to learn from your mistakes, that's what makes you a bigger and better person.
"During the time I've had away from the team I've looked at myself. I want a career at the highest level and I'm only going to do that by not making mistakes.
"I just want to put everything behind me and when I get the chance to play again, hopefully, I can put things right on the pitch."
