Former Liverpool star to returnFormer Liverpool and Wigan star Stephane Henchoz could be set for a surprise return to his former club Blackburn Rovers on a free transfer.
Reports linking Rovers to Henchoz started circulating once chairman John Williams hinted that he may be willing to allow central defender Domenic Matteo to leave the club.
Williams said: "I have had no offers for Dominic - we have obviously lost Ryan Nelsen for some time so the situation is that we need players like him at this club,"
"I have had discussions with Dominic and am aware he is frustrated at not playing. Maybe at some point it will be right that he goes away and plays more football, but not at this moment in time."
