Forlan hits backAs he prepares for a return to Old Trafford in the Champions League, Diego Forlan insists he was not a failure at Manchester United.
After failing to play on a regular basis for the Premiership club, the Uruguayan striker left United 12 months ago and last season finished as top scorer in La Liga with new club Villarreal.
The Spanish side were pitted in the same group as The Red Devils in Thursdays Champions League draw and Forlan told Kicker: "I was not a failure as such,
"If you do not play, you cannot meet expectations.
"Coach Ferguson put me on the bench. Usually I came on as a substitute and was missing the continuity.
"I am not a 'joker'."
