Everton deal for star defenderEverton have tied up the services of defender Joseph Yobo until 2010 after he signed a new four-year contract.
Yobo told the club website: "I have waited a long time for this to be sorted out. There was no doubt of me being happy, I wanted to stay.
"I spoke to the manager David Moyes and he told me the club's ambitions and then I accepted that I wanted to stay."
Yobo has already made 98 appearances for the Toffees.
