City star confirms exit

French defender Sylvain Distin has officially left Manchester City and is looking to start over with a new club next season.

Distin, 29, said: "It has been an incredibly tough decision but I just feel I want a fresh challenge,"

"I had five very enjoyable years at City and I wish them all the best but I want to play somewhere different."
