Charlton and Newcastle in talks

Charlton Athletic and Newcastle United are in talks over midfielder Lee Bowyer.

Bowyer is keen to return to London - which was admitted by Toon boss Graeme Souness last month.

The Daily Star Sunday says Charlton are close to clinching a £2 million agreement for Bowyer.
