Can Bolton ward off Liverpool

In a bid to stop him joining Liverpool in a £1m deal, Bolton are prepared to double Greek winger Stelios' wages to £30,000 a week.

He is understandably having his head turned by the prospect of Champions League football and boss Sam Allardyce accepts that he may leave.

He could turn to Inter's Andy van der Meyde to replace him.
