Blackburn poised for striker return

Blackburn boss Mark Hughes has been given the go ahead for a £750,000 bid to bring Andy Cole back to Ewood Park.

Blackburn took a massive £8m loss on Cole when they let him go on a free last summer following a series of bust-ups with former boss Graeme Souness.

However, Hughes, who played with Cole up front for Manchester United, wants him back to play alongside Paul Dickov next season.
