Reds in for Gunners targetLiverpool have reportedly tabled an offer for Dutch Under-21 star Ryan Babel.
The in-demand Ajax flanker, who has attracted interest from a host of Premiership clubs, has previously talked of his desire to play in England with Arsenal.
He recently said: "If I get the chance one day to train with Arsene Wenger it would be a dream,"
"From when I was young I supported Arsenal. I liked the style, the ambience, how they show themselves on the field - everything."
"I think it's maybe the best league, it's a very high level and there is good football,"
The interest in the 20-year-old has intensified following his impressive performances at the Under-21 European Championships earlier this summer.
Ajax are believed to want around £10million for the starlet.
